Four onboard cameras are installed to allow accurate visual and audio debriefs of UAT training. One camera is mounted in the vertical tail showing the “Big Picture” of aircraft attitude. Another is mounted in the aft cockpit viewing the flight instrumentation the student is utilizing for IFR unusual attitude recovery and upsets. A third camera is pointed to view the student scan and reactions to accomplish recoveries. A fourth optional helmet camera can be used for different requirements. A split screen function is utilized to compare instrument views and the comparative outside VFR viewpoint.
